I trained as an accountant with a Big 4 firm in London and qualified in 1992. I spent 10 years working in large, complex, turnaround and restructuring assignments, often as interim FD. I then went on to work with smaller businesses and their stakeholders, helping them grow, plan, acquire other ventures, and sell their own businesses (in good times and in more challenging ones).

I decided to set up Dartcell in 2015 to provide specialist financial expertise to growing companies that need my assistance on a part-time or project-led basis. I help my clients see the wood from the trees, often acting as a valuable sounding board and mentor alongside my core services, which include budgeting, forecasting, planning, managing change, and chairing executive meetings.

After 30 years in business, I have a big black book of third-party contacts, so I can often help my clients find trusted providers outside of their financial requirements.

I have an active personal life. Alongside spending time with my wife and 5 children, I enjoy music, rugby, and walking my dog, a 66kg lovable Northern Inuit.
